Call for Proposals – Story Fellowship 2022 is launched!: We are inviting members of migrant communities in/from Southeast and East Asia, individually or collectively, to pitch your ideas for original works to witness and raise awareness of experiences of migration through our Story Fellowship Program. This year, our fellowship is in collaboration with New Naratif! Successful applicants will receive training, mentoring and USD$1,000 to support your production and their final products will be published by New Naratif and BEBESEA. On International Mental Health Day: In commemoration of this year’s World’s Mental Health day, let us hear again stories of migrant workers across the regions shared in our publication “Repression and Resilience: COVID-19 Response Measures and Migrant Workers’ Rights in Major East and Southeast Destinations” that we have summarised into a brief posted on BEBESEA Instagram. VOICESEA Podcast: New episode with RUMI Jepang, “Morotomo: Capturing Experiences of Migrant Workers through Fiction” tells story behind the making of Morotomo – Short Stories Anthology by Indonesian Migrant Workers in Japan that was submitted and published as a part of BEBESEA Story Fellowship Programme.
